One of my favourite weeks in London has arrived: the Chelsea Flower Show, running from 19 to 23 May. If you have a ticket, it is a delight. If not, it is all the more reason to wander down the King's Road, where shopfronts and side streets burst into bloom. It is essentially a free open-air gallery, where flamboyant botanicals meet spring abundance. To match the occasion, I have selected four floral wines that bring the bouquet to your glass.
Jardin de Roses Languedoc Rosé 2025 (12.5%)
True to its name, this charming Languedoc rosé earns a big tick from me, with delicate berry fruit and dewy rose petal freshness.
Costieres de Nimes Blanc 2024 (13%)
This lesser-known Rhône appellation is one for your radar: a sun-kissed white with ripe peach, white pepper, honeysuckle, and orange blossom.
Il Renesi Roero Arneis 2024 (12%)
From Piedmont, more renowned for its stellar reds, this 100% Arneis offers white blossom, chamomile, and citrus in a bright, effortlessly drinkable style.
Loved & Found Viorica 2024 (12%)
With acacia and wildflowers, citrus peel, and a soft, spiced lift, this unusual Moldovan pick is ideal served nicely chilled for apéro hour.
