Tommy Fury Loses a Stone in a Week After 'Nasty Sickness' Bug
Tommy Fury loses a stone after week-long sickness bug

Reality TV star and professional boxer Tommy Fury has disclosed a dramatic and sudden weight loss, shedding a stone (approximately 6.35kg) in just one week after being struck down by a severe illness.

Fury's Health Struggle and Dramatic Weight Loss

The 26-year-old, famous for his stint on Love Island, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a black-and-white photo from a doctor's surgery, looking visibly unwell. He explained to his followers that he had been 'completely wiped out' for the past week by what he described as a 'really nasty sickness'.

Fury stated he was uncertain whether the cause was food poisoning or a virus, but confirmed it was an experience unlike any he had faced before. 'I haven't been able to keep food down for over a week, and it's been ROUGH,' he wrote. The unexpected weight loss was particularly frustrating for the athlete, who noted he had been the happiest with his physical shape in a long time just prior to falling ill.

Molly-Mae Hague 'Holds It Down' for the Family

Fury revealed that while he was incapacitated, his two-year-old daughter, Bambi, was also unwell, battling the flu. He paid tribute to his partner, Molly-Mae Hague, also 26, crediting her for single-handedly managing the household during the crisis. He said she had 'held it down' for the family throughout their time of need.

Molly-Mae herself later echoed the challenges of the weekend on her Instagram Stories, sharing a sweet snapshot of her cuddling Bambi in bed. Despite the tender moment, she admitted she was 'just trying to keep it together' while caring for both her flu-stricken daughter and Fury, who was fighting the sickness bug.

Second Tough Weekend for the Influencer Mum

This incident marks the second difficult weekend for the influencer within a month. Last month, Hague opened up about the realities of parenting a toddler, confessing she had been left in tears after Bambi subjected her and Tommy to 'one constant tantrum' over a two-day period.

She has been vocal with her 8.5 million followers about the highs and lows of motherhood in her early twenties, often sharing candid behind-the-scenes glimpses. Following the previous challenging weekend, she posted a heart-warming photo from a coffee shop, explaining how one cute moment with her daughter made her forget the earlier stress, humbly noting that 'toddler: 1, mummy: 0' summed up parenthood.

For now, Tommy Fury says his focus is solely on recovery. 'Really missing the gym and training, but right now, I'm just focusing on getting back on my feet,' he concluded his social media post, adding that he had been feeling sorry for himself during the ordeal.
