Fitness guru Joe Wicks is making his first TV series debut with a surprising twist: he is creating a ‘killer’ snack bar. The health coach, known for his positive attitude, is teaming up with Dr Chris van Tulleken for a stunt aimed at pressuring the government to reform the food industry.
Wicks, who grew up on ultra-processed foods and still enjoys treats, hopes the experiment will expose health myths. The show airs on Channel 4 at 8pm tonight.
In other programming, Prof Jim Al-Khalili explores the human brain on BBC Two at 9pm, investigating how close relationships boost intelligence. Meanwhile, a new true-crime strand on Channel 4 at 10pm examines the murder of 15-year-old Holly Newton in Northumberland.
