Jordan James Parke, the British cosmetic surgery enthusiast who became nationally known as the 'Lip King', has died at the age of 34. Parke, who underwent more than fifty surgical procedures and rose to prominence on the American reality television series Botched, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. His death occurred while he was out on bail, following his arrest on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the death of a patient at his Gloucestershire clinic.
A Life Transformed by Surgery
Born in Dudley, Parke's obsession with altering his appearance began at the age of 19 with his first procedure. He openly credited the Kardashian family, particularly Kim Kardashian, as his primary inspiration for pursuing extensive cosmetic work. "It's the whole family I take inspiration from, but mainly Kim," he told The Mirror in 2016. "I love them all, their looks, the way they dress, they're just an inspiration."
His numerous surgeries included upper eyelid surgery, a lip lift, a chin implant, and multiple rounds of liposuction. He famously described himself as 'The Plastic Surgery Advocate', once stating, "Plastic surgery is like sex. You can't have it once. You have to have it over and over. And if the surgeon's good, you keep having it with the same guy."
Rise to Fame and Subsequent Scandal
Parke first appeared on the E! network show Botched in 2015, seeking corrective work. His notoriety grew, and he was dubbed the 'Lip King' in the UK. He later opened his own aesthetics clinic, Studio 23, in Gloucestershire. However, the clinic became embroiled in tragedy in September 2024.
Alice Baker, a 33-year-old mother of five, checked into Studio 23 for a non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) on the morning of September 24. The procedure involves injecting dermal fillers into the buttocks as a cheaper alternative to surgical augmentation. Ms. Baker fell ill shortly after the treatment and was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where she died in the early hours of the following morning. Her death is believed to be the first in Britain caused by a 'liquid' BBL.
Later that month, Parke was arrested alongside another suspect on suspicion of manslaughter. He was subsequently released on bail with conditions. It is important to note that Parke was not a qualified surgeon.
Controversy and Family Tributes
Following his arrest, Parke continued to operate in the cosmetics industry, promoting weight loss injections and teeth whitening treatments online while showcasing a lavish lifestyle. This activity drew criticism from Ms. Baker's grieving family. The father of her eldest daughter told the BBC, "He shouldn't be selling them. It's as simple as that, I don't know how he sleeps at night."
Ms. Baker's partner, Dane Knight, launched a petition with the campaign group Save Face to enact 'Alice's Law', calling for government action to regulate the industry and prevent similar tragedies. Her family stated, "Alice's death has left a huge void in our family, one that can never be filled. We are devastated by the overwhelming feeling of grief, loss, and anger because her death should never have been allowed to happen."
News of Parke's own death was announced by his sister on social media. In an emotional post, she wrote, "Our beautiful, funny most amazing Jordan James Parke passed away on Wednesday the 18th of February 2026... The world feels so empty without you. And I don't know how we are going to carry on." She asked the public to remember him kindly, anticipating "unkind messages" following the news.
Parke's later attempt to return to Botched in 2019 was unsuccessful; doctors on the show advised that a fourth nose job would require taking a piece of his rib to widen his nostrils, a risk they were unwilling to take. His legacy remains a complex tapestry of reality TV fame, a passionate advocacy for cosmetic surgery, and a professional career overshadowed by a fatal medical incident.
