The Unbreakable Bond: Caroline and Jody Flack's Lifelong Connection
The profound relationship between television presenter Caroline Flack and her twin sister Jody forms the emotional core of the new Disney+ documentary Caroline Flack: Search for The Truth, which streams from November 2025.
On 15 February 2020, Jody Flack experienced every family member's worst nightmare when she arrived at her sister's London flat to check on her following a difficult Valentine's Day. Finding the door locked and hearing the dog barking inside, Jody gained entry only to discover that Caroline, the former Love Island presenter, had taken her own life at age 40.
A Bond Forged in Childhood
The documentary reveals through interviews with those closest to Caroline, including their mother Christine, just how inseparable the twins were throughout their lives. "Carrie and her twin sister, Jo, they'd never grown apart. It was always them two against the world," Christine shares in the series.
Home videos scattered throughout the two-part documentary show the sisters performing for their family during their younger years. Their mother also recalled how their elder sister Lizzie, who was ten when the twins were born, would often find them climbing into her bed during the night.
Different Paths, Same Connection
As adults, the sisters chose dramatically different lifestyles. While Caroline embraced the spotlight as a television presenter and Strictly Come Dancing champion, Jody opted for a quieter life as a mother of three children.
In a 2013 interview with the Express, Caroline acknowledged their differences while emphasising their closeness: "We're very close - we shared a bed until we were four and we were in the same class at school - but we're quite different." She added: "She's a mum with three beautiful children, so we have completely different lives, but we each enjoy the other's life vicariously."
Despite their different paths, the sisters maintained their connection through social media, where Caroline made a tradition of posting heartfelt birthday tributes to her twin. Her final Instagram message to Jody in 2018 contained a powerful promise: "We will always look after each other and not let ANYONE or anything come between us."
Just one year earlier, Caroline had shared a childhood photograph of the pair with the caption: "Happy birthday the good twin! Together since the womb .... such different shaped lives ...such different shaped heads ... but life wouldn't be the same without you ... I'm really glad you're my sister ... from me and my gums x."
The documentary Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth is now available for streaming on Disney+, offering an intimate portrait of the television star's life and the relationships that defined her.
