Ashley Roberts has confirmed her new romance with toyboy boyfriend George Rollinson, whom she met 'the old fashioned way' after a string of horrendous dates. The former Pussycat Doll, 42, was even cruelly catfished before meeting her new man, artist George, 25, out in the wild instead of online.
The Buttons hitmaker has been dating her boyfriend, who is 17 years her junior, since November, but the pair recently made their romance public when they stepped out together for the first time. Ashley is absolutely smitten with her new man, admitting she has never been happier in a relationship. After meeting George through mutual friends, their relationship blossomed 'naturally' as they took things slow and didn't put on any pressure.
Her organic relationship with George comes after a number of disastrous dates with men she had met online through dating apps. The singing sensation revealed she had almost lost hope in finding true love after going on a string of dates with emotionally unavailable men - and one who even catfished her.
Lifting the lid on her love life, Ashley gushed: "It's really nice to be in a relationship that's kind and thoughtful and supportive and we have fun. It was an unexpected thing, we met, and I was having a good time and living my best life, enjoying it and I was like 'this is someone quite special' - I'm in a happy place."
Ashley, who reportedly signed up to celebrity dating app Raya back in 2022, told Mail Online that one of the worst dates she went on before meeting George ended with her sitting in front of a man she didn't even recognise. "I turned up and necessarily didn't recognise the person sat in front of me from their profile images. And I was like 'wait a minute' and it's a bit uncomfortable because you have to sit through a meal, so that was on the disastrous side."
Despite enduring some awkward and uncomfortable dates, Ashley is now happier than ever with George. Her new artist man has previously collaborated with boxer Francis Ngannou for his fight against Tyson Fury. George decorated the Cameroonian's boots with his own designs and has created elaborate pieces for the likes of celebrity clients Drake and Anthony Joshua.
