Actress Nicole Brydon Bloom proudly displayed her pregnancy on the red carpet at the 31st Critics Choice Awards on Sunday evening. The 31-year-old star, who is expecting her first child with actor Justin Theroux, 54, chose a show-stopping iridescent slip dress for the prestigious event in Santa Monica.
A Glittering Maternity Reveal
The Paradise actress modelled a champagne-gold sequined dress from the label Akris, which elegantly highlighted her baby bump. She walked the carpet solo, occasionally cradling her stomach, in a look that combined maternity style with Hollywood glamour. Her accessories included dazzling diamond jewellery and her flashy wedding ring, a reminder of her recent marriage to Theroux in March 2025.
Her appearance comes just weeks after she first hinted at her pregnancy at the Song Sung Blue premiere in mid-December. At that event, she wore a burgundy silk crop top and trench coat that offered only a subtle glimpse of her changing shape. The couple confirmed they were expecting shortly after, just nine months following their wedding.
Double Celebration for Paradise Cast
Bloom attended the ceremony to support her Hulu drama series Paradise, which is nominated for Best Drama Series. Her co-star, Sterling K. Brown, is also in the running for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Interestingly, Bloom was not the only pregnant star from the show on the red carpet; her colleague Krys Marshall also debuted her baby bump at the event.
The Critics Choice Awards, hosted for the fourth consecutive year by Chelsea Handler, are widely seen as a key indicator of Oscar success. This year, the ceremony holds added significance as the first major televised awards show of 2026, following the delayed Golden Globes.
The Night's Big Winners
The film Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, led the nominations with an impressive 17 nods, including Best Picture. It was closely followed by One Battle After Another with 14 nominations, and Hamnet and Frankenstein, each earning 11.
In the television categories, the competition was fierce. The Best Drama Series category featured heavyweights like Severance, Andor, and Bloom's own show, Paradise. The limited series Adolescence emerged as a major winner in its field.
The full list of winners and nominees underscores the Critics Choice Awards' role in celebrating the year's finest achievements in film and television, setting the stage for the upcoming Academy Awards.
