Married At First Sight Australia couple Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have shared details of their surprise engagement, which aired during the show's Final Vows episode. Filip, 37, proposed to Stella, 32, with a diamond ring, marking a fairytale ending for the pair.
Filip explained that before proposing, he sought his parents' approval, telling them Stella was 'the one'. His father responded, 'If not her, then who?' Filip then chose a cushion-cut diamond on a plain gold band for the proposal, which he kept secret from Stella until the moment.
Stella admitted she initially thought Filip was joking, but soon realised it was real. 'I burst into tears as per usual. It felt like the world just dissolved,' she said. After the proposal, the couple celebrated with Stella's friends at a jazz bar.
Looking ahead, the couple plans an engagement party on a boat for 80 guests, with a reunion for their MAFS co-stars. They intend to marry in Croatia, Filip's home country, to accommodate family from both sides.
