Adorable Puppy Thrown in Rubbish Dump Desperate for New UK Home
Puppy Thrown in Rubbish Dump Seeks New Home

Two tiny puppies have been rescued from a rubbish dump after being thrown away as if they didn’t matter. While one of the pups has already found a home, her sister is still waiting for her own chance at a new life.

The brown puppy is just a few months old and is expected to grow into a medium-to-large dog, weighing around 25 to 30kg. Despite her difficult start, she remains gentle, trusting, and still very much like a typical young pup.

Rescuers say she continues to behave as though someone will eventually come for her. She is currently being cared for by Greek Stray ResQ in Agrinio, Greece, after her rescue.

The organisation is now hoping to find her a home in the UK, or anywhere else where the right adopter is willing to take her in and give her a fresh start.

A Second Chance at Life

The rescue team say she would suit a home prepared for puppy life, including training, patience, and consistency, as she learns what it means to grow up safe and loved. In return, they believe she will become a loyal and affectionate companion.

However, despite being shared on social media, only a small number of people have shown interest so far, and the puppy is still waiting for someone to step forward.

Volunteers Needed

Greek Stray ResQ say volunteers are central to everything they do, describing them as the heartbeat of the organisation. They rely heavily on support from people across Greece, particularly in northern regions where the need is greatest.

The group is now appealing for animal lovers to get involved, saying even a small amount of time can make a real difference to the lives of strays in their care.

They encourage people to connect with like-minded volunteers and become part of a wider community focused on compassion and action.

They also welcome visitors to Greece who may want to spend part of their trip helping at a shelter, whether through hands-on support or a short volunteering experience.

For anyone interested in helping or adopting, Greek Stray ResQ say they are ready to guide new volunteers and welcome them into the team working every day to give stray animals a second chance at life.
