Traitors Star Shares Major Health Update
Actress and reality television personality Ruth Codd has publicly announced that she has undergone a second leg amputation. The star, who rose to fame on The Celebrity Traitors, shared the significant personal news directly with her followers on the social media platform TikTok.
A Longstanding Medical Journey
Codd's first amputation occurred when she was just 23 years old. This initial procedure was the result of complications from a football injury she sustained at the age of 15, which unfortunately never healed correctly. The recent surgery marks another major step in her long-term health journey, which she described as 'a lot to unpack' emotionally.
Recovery and a Touch of Humour
Despite the challenging circumstances, Codd has maintained her characteristic wit. She revealed that she is currently recuperating at her parents' home. Adding a light-hearted note to her recovery, she introduced her followers to her new wheelchair, which she has affectionately nicknamed 'Fat Tony'.
Fans will remember Codd from the recent series of The Celebrity Traitors, where she was the second contestant to be 'murdered' by the traitors' circle, which included Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns, and Alan Carr.
Her acting career, which began on TikTok during the Covid pandemic, has seen her land significant roles in Netflix productions, including The Midnight Club and The Fall Of The House Of Usher.
