Use Washing Up Liquid to Clean Shower, Experts Advise
Washing Up Liquid for Shower Cleaning: Expert Advice

Households are being urged to use washing up liquid to clean their shower screens, according to bathroom appliance specialists Flair Showers. The humble kitchen staple can restore shine in minutes, outperforming expensive commercial cleaners.

How to Clean with Washing Up Liquid

Flair Showers recommends mixing one tablespoon of washing-up liquid with approximately 10 litres of water. They describe the solution as a 'thin, non-viscous mix' that cleans shower doors exceptionally well while reducing the effort required. 'It's tried and tested and impossible to beat,' they said. 'Washing up liquid is the go-to option for making your shower door sparkle.'

Streak-Free Results

For a streak-free finish, use a squeegee after applying the solution. Flair Showers noted that squeegees are satisfying to use and can also be applied to mirrors and glass around the house. 'Great for avoiding streaks, they clean large areas quickly, making it easy to use daily,' they added.

Alternative Natural Cleaner: Lemon

As an alternative, rubbing a lemon half on the shower door can remove soap scum and hard water stains. The acid breaks down residue. Rinse with water and wipe with a squeegee or microfiber cloth. Flair Showers commented: 'Not only is it economical, but it's also environmentally friendly.'
