Zoflora vs Pink Stuff: Which Cleans Your Bathroom Sink Better?
Zoflora vs Pink Stuff: Bathroom Sink Cleaning Test

In a direct comparison of two budget-friendly multipurpose cleaners, Zoflora emerged as the clear winner for cleaning a bathroom sink, according to a test conducted by Nicola Roy. The Pink Stuff spray, costing around 99p, performed well but lacked the lasting fragrance and disinfectant properties of Zoflora, which retails for approximately £2.70.

Testing the Pink Stuff Spray on the Bathroom Sink

Roy began with the Pink Stuff spray, which she had previously used on her kitchen sink with excellent results. The product claims to be 'tough on grease and grime' and to leave 'shiny clean results'. Applied directly to the sink, taps, and behind them, the spray lifted toothpaste marks and hair effortlessly without scrubbing. After wiping and drying, the sink shone impressively.

However, Roy noted that while the Pink Stuff spray has a pleasant scent during application, the fragrance fades quickly after cleaning, which she considered a significant drawback.

Testing Zoflora on the Bathroom Sink

Several days later, Roy tested Zoflora in the Midnight Blooms scent. This product, which gained popularity during the pandemic thanks to Mrs Hinch, requires dilution: one capful in a spray bottle filled with water. Like the Pink Stuff, it was sprayed on and left briefly before wiping away. Zoflora also delivered a beautiful shine without vigorous scrubbing.

Roy found Zoflora's scent 'genuinely unlike anything else in the cleaning aisle', describing it as 'incredibly indulgent' and more like a premium perfume than a disinfectant. The fragrance lingered for hours after cleaning, which is one of the main qualities she looks for in a cleaning product. Additionally, as a disinfectant, Zoflora reportedly kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

Comparison and Verdict

Both products effectively cleaned the sink, but Zoflora had a slight edge due to its long-lasting fragrance and disinfectant properties. Roy concluded that Zoflora was the undisputed winner. The Pink Stuff spray is available for around 99p, while Zoflora costs approximately £2.70 at Home Bargains or £2.79 at The Range.
