Luke Grimes' iconic Yellowstone character Kayce Dutton is poised for a dramatic return to television screens in 2026. The highly anticipated spin-off series, Marshals: A Yellowstone Story, will premiere on CBS and Paramount+, continuing the saga of the Dutton family following the conclusion of the original Western drama.
The Plot: Kayce Dutton's New Frontier
Following the death of his father, John Dutton, portrayed by Kevin Costner who departed the series early, Kayce Dutton leaves his ranch life behind to join an elite unit of the U.S. Marshals. An official synopsis details that Kayce must balance his demanding duties as a lawman with his responsibilities as a father to his son, Tate, played by Brecken Merrill. The series promises to delve into the psychological toll of serving as the last line of defence in the region's ongoing struggle against violence.
