Strictly Come Dancing's spooktacular Halloween special delivered more tricks than treats for several contestants as the competition intensified with spine-tingling performances and some truly frightening scores.
Leaderboard Shake-Up Creates Pre-Elimination Tension
The glitterball trophy felt further away than ever for some couples after Saturday night's performances, with the leaderboard revealing a dramatic divide between the competition's frontrunners and those fighting for survival.
Topping the scoreboard once again were Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal, whose hauntingly beautiful Couple's Choice routine to 'Islands In The Stream' earned them a near-perfect 39 points from the judges. Close behind were Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez, who wowed with their Argentine Tango, scoring an impressive 38 points.
Middle of the Pack Battles for Position
The middle of the table saw fierce competition, with Fleur East and Vito Coppola's Paso Doble earning 35 points, while Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu delivered a spectacular American Smooth that secured them 34 points.
Will Mellor and Nancy Xu found themselves in a precarious position with 33 points for their Quickstep, just ahead of Tyler West and Dianne Buswell's Charleston, which scored 32 points.
Danger Zone: Who Faces the Dance Off?
The bottom of the leaderboard told a worrying story for several contestants. Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe's Tango managed 31 points, while Tony Adams and Katya Jones surprised everyone by scoring 29 points for their Cha Cha Cha.
Most concerning was the situation for Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova, whose American Smooth earned only 24 points, placing them at the bottom of the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Bill Capaldi's brother, comedian and actor Bill Bailey's musical counterpart Lewis Capaldi watched as his namesake (in spirit) struggled, with the actual contestant being singer and presenter Fleur East.
The tension mounts as viewers await Sunday night's results show, where one couple will face the dreaded dance off and potentially hear those chilling words: "You are leaving the competition."
