Ben Batt joins the cast as Jason Macklow, a character shrouded in mystery. Batt is best known for his portrayal of Joe Pritchard in Shameless and more recently as Rudy in Riot Women. Vinette Robinson takes on the role of DI Fiona Mahler, adding depth to the investigative team. Robinson gained critical acclaim for her performance in the film Boiling Point, which earned her a British Independent Film Award, and she reprised this role in the subsequent spin-off series. She is also familiar to audiences as Sgt Sally Donovan in Sherlock, Nicola Daniels in The A Word, and Janet in The Lazarus Project.
