Netflix cancels Arnold Schwarzenegger's Fubar after two seasons

Netflix has reportedly cancelled Arnold Schwarzenegger's action-comedy series Fubar after two seasons. The show, which starred Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro as a father-daughter CIA duo, failed to maintain viewer interest in its second season.

According to Deadline, Fubar season two peaked at number 10 in Netflix's English-language series chart during its first week, with 2.2 million views over its premiere weekend. This marked a sharp decline from season one, which garnered 11 million views over a comparable period. By week four, the series had dropped out of the top 10 entirely.

Fans expressed mixed reactions on social media. Some admitted to abandoning the second season, with one viewer calling it 'unbearably dull' and another noting a 'huge quality drop off between seasons.' However, others praised Barbaro's performance, with one fan lamenting the cancellation and expressing affection for her character, Emma.

Barbaro earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, released between Fubar seasons. Season two also featured Carrie-Anne Moss as a former East German spy with a history with Schwarzenegger's character.
