A new lakeside sauna is opening near Greater Manchester this weekend, offering visitors the benefits of sauna while surrounded by nature. Wild Shore Delamere, located in the Cheshire countryside, officially launches its sauna on July 11, set against the backdrop of Delamere Forest.
Sauna Features and Access
Positioned on the water's edge, the sauna opens up to steps leading directly into the water, allowing guests to warm up after plunging into the cold water. In recent years, sauna popularity has soared across the UK, with studies showing that combining heat therapy with cold-water immersion can boost health and wellness. Visitors can alternate between a cold water dip and warming up in the sauna, or simply relax in the heat.
Timed Sessions and Pricing
The sauna provides a safe and comfortable experience with timed sessions to prevent overcrowding. It can be used to warm up and recover between other activities at the site, or as a standalone wellness experience. Sauna sessions are available for guests aged 16 and over, with prices starting from £10 per person for 30 minutes. A 10-session bundle can be purchased for £7.50 per session. Individuals, groups, and families are invited to use the sauna, and it can be hired privately for groups. Family-friendly private hire sessions are available, allowing children aged six to 15 to use the sauna.
Other Activities at Wild Shore Delamere
Wild Shore Delamere offers a range of water-based activities, including wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and open-water swimming. Its standout feature is Aqua Chimp, an obstacle course above the water with ropes, bridges, and more. The sauna adds a new wellness dimension to the site's offerings.
