Good Morning Britain regular commentator Andrew Pierce launched a furious rant against Prince Harry, accusing him of breaking the royal family. The journalist, also a GB News presenter, appeared on the ITV breakfast show alongside Alex Armstrong and Ellie Costello to discuss the Duke of Sussex's complicated arrival in the UK.
Prince Harry's Legal Defeat Sparks Outrage
The discussion followed Prince Harry's High Court claim against the Daily Mail being dismissed, alongside his highly publicised security row with the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) and the revocation of his invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace. Pierce, who has worked for the Mail since 2010, declared an interest and said: "These lurid allegations were made before I was there; every single one was rejected by the judge."
He added: "Allegations that stories were obtained by these celebrities by phone hacking or other illegal means ... it is a comprehensive victory for the Mail." Pierce continued: "Prince Harry, Elton John and those other celebrities were not seen as particularly credible. I think it's a great day for journalism and free speech."
Pierce Accuses Harry of Breaking the Royal Family
Alex Armstrong noted it was "not a good day for Prince Harry" and described the Duke's trip as a "farce" after he was initially meant to be accompanied by Meghan Markle and their children. Pierce agreed, saying: "It's just this constant psychodrama with Prince Harry and the King is a very sick man. He's got cancer, he's in his late 70s, and his relationship with his son is fractured beyond belief."
He remarked: "Harry hasn't spoken to his brother since the funeral of the late Queen. How sad that it's come to this, a family that's completely broken, and I'm afraid Harry has made it that way by writing books to kiss and tell as the financial expense of his own family."
Royal Expert Weighs In on Reconciliation Prospects
When asked if Prince Harry would see his father, Pierce instantly replied: "No. I'd be amazed if he does. The King's very busy, you can always find time for your kid, can't you. Trouble is, when they do meet, a lot of it ends up in the American media."
Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that reconciliation has become difficult because palace aides and other senior royals "don't trust Harry." She said: "Every interaction will need to be managed, even to the minute, by courtiers and those whose job it is to protect the monarchy. Merely polite meetings are more plausible."
Fordwich added: "They are far more concerned with the overall institution and continuity than the feelings of any one family member. This has been the case for generations. Harry should know better."
