Reality TV favourite Scarlett Moffatt has officially been announced as the first celebrity contestant for the highly anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2025.
A Dream Come True on the Dancefloor
The exciting revelation was made by Moffatt herself during an appearance on the BBC's companion show, Strictly: It Takes Two, on Friday 21 November 2025. The former Gogglebox and I'm A Celebrity winner will be hitting the festive dancefloor with Strictly professional dancer Vito Coppola.
Expressing her sheer delight, Moffatt shared that the show has always held a "special place" in her heart. She described the opportunity to perform in the Christmas special as a "magical" experience and the fulfilment of a new dream.
The Festive Finale and Judging Panel
This year's special promises a sparkling spectacle as six celebrity-professional couples compete to be crowned the Christmas Champion 2025. In a significant moment for the show, the episode will mark the final time that the iconic hosting duo of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman present the programme together.
The couples will be scrutinised by the full panel of familiar judges: Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke. In a twist fitting for the holiday season, the power to decide the winner will rest solely with the studio audience on the night, making their votes more crucial than ever.
From Sofa to Samba
This move from watching families on TV from her sofa on Gogglebox to becoming the centre of attention on the UK's most famous dance floor marks an exciting new chapter for Moffatt. Her victory on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2016 made her a household name, and her participation in Strictly is set to capture the hearts of the nation all over again during the festive period.
