Fans of the breakout sci-fi hit Pluribus on Apple TV are in for a surprise this week as the show undergoes a significant schedule shake-up. The highly anticipated fifth episode will now land earlier than expected.
New Release Date and Time
Instead of its usual Friday slot, episode five, titled 'Got Milk', will be released on Wednesday, 26th November. This change has been implemented to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the United States.
While Apple has not issued an official statement on the precise release time, previous episodes have consistently become available at 6pm PT and 9pm ET the evening before their listed date in North and South America. For viewers in the United Kingdom, this translates to an expected release window of around 8am on Wednesday morning.
What to Expect in the Next Episode
The official synopsis for 'Got Milk' promises more tension and intrigue. It reveals that the protagonist, Carol Sturka, portrayed by the acclaimed Rhea Seehorn, will intensify her investigation into the alien hive mind known as 'the Joining', despite her growing isolation.
Meanwhile, the description hints at a new threat emerging, with “howls in the night reveal[ing] a new source of danger” for Carol and the other immune survivors.
Looking Ahead for Pluribus
This midweek release is a temporary shift. Following the Thanksgiving break, the release schedule will revert to Fridays. This means viewers have four more episodes to enjoy before the season one finale drops on Boxing Day, 26th December.
In excellent news for the show's growing fanbase, Apple has already confirmed a second season is on the way, ensuring that Carol Sturka's fight to reclaim her identity and free humanity will continue beyond 2025.
