Netflix has unleashed a fresh wave of intrigue and comedy with the return of its acclaimed series, Man On The Inside, for a second season. All eight new episodes of the show, created by the mastermind behind The Office and Parks and Recreation, began streaming on November 20.
A New Undercover Adventure Begins
The series, inspired by the Oscar-nominated documentary The Mole Agent, follows the undercover exploits of retiree Charles Nieuwendyk, played by comedy legend Ted Danson. Season two sees Charles eager for a new challenge. After a mysterious blackmailer targets Wheeler College president Jack Berenger, the institution enlists Charles to go undercover as a professor.
The central mystery revolves around whether the threats are connected to an iconoclastic billionaire and Wheeler graduate, Brad Vinick, and his proposed multi-million pound donation to the school. As Charles investigates, he finds no shortage of suspects, but his attention is diverted by a free-spirited music teacher, Mona, whose zest for life awakens feelings he thought had died with his late wife.

Fans will be delighted to see the return of familiar faces. Alongside Ted Danson as Charles, the cast includes Mary Elizabeth Ellis as his daughter Emily, Lilah Richcreek Estrada as PI Julie, Stephanie Beatriz, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as Calbert.
