Jack Osbourne has been heard speaking about his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, in a television appearance that was filmed before the rock star's death. The 39-year-old appeared on ITV's Cooking with the Stars, which aired on Sunday, August 4, but was recorded prior to Ozzy's passing last month at age 76.
During the first episode of the new series, Jack discussed mealtimes from his childhood, revealing that the Osbourne family often relied on takeout or simple meals. He said: 'I grew up on potato waffles until we moved to America. We would get take out all the time — apart from times when we had a chef.'
Jack, who was 11 when the family moved from England to the US, joked that Ozzy never kept a chef on staff for long because he was a 'picky eater.' He explained: 'We’d get through them all the time because we were a family of really picky eaters and my dad would think that he could cook it better. [He'd suddenly decide] 'No, I don't like it anymore,' even though it's some amazing chef.'
While Jack has not yet publicly commented on his father's death, other family members have paid tribute. Jack's ex-wife Lisa Stelly shared photos of Ozzy with his granddaughters on Instagram, captioning them: 'The world got Ozzy. We got Papa. One of one. Larger than life. It hurts to say goodbye, but what a gift it was to have him. We will never stop missing you.'
Jack's sister Kelly Osbourne broke her silence by posting lyrics from Black Sabbath's song 'Changes,' which she and Ozzy covered in 2003. At Ozzy's public funeral procession last week, both Jack and Kelly wore subtle tributes: Kelly donned round blue-tinted glasses, while Jack wore a black Chrome Hearts tie with a silver cross, referencing Ozzy's love for cross jewellery.
