Isabel Webster Confirms TV Comeback for January 2026 on Terrestrial
Isabel Webster announces major TV return for 2026

Former GB News breakfast host Isabel Webster has sent fans into a frenzy by announcing a major return to mainstream television screens at the start of 2026.

A Festive Announcement Hints at New Beginnings

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 43-year-old broadcaster shared a festive photo alongside a career update that has sparked widespread speculation. Webster confirmed she will be back in the presenting chair in January 2026, though she deliberately kept the specific channel and programme under wraps.

In her post, she wrote: "Merry Christmas. As the year draws to a close, I'm feeling incredibly grateful - and quietly excited for what's ahead..." She added the crucial clue for viewers: "you'll find me on terrestrial."

From GB News Departure to Podcast Success

Webster's announcement marks a significant new chapter following her unexpected exit from GB News in December last year. She had co-hosted the channel's breakfast show alongside veteran presenter Eamonn Holmes, 65, from its launch in 2022 until her departure.

Her role was subsequently taken over by Ellie Costello, 32. Since leaving the news channel, Webster has launched her own podcast, New Chapters, and continued writing a regular column.

Her professional history with Eamonn Holmes extends back to their time co-presenting Sky News' Sunrise, prior to his departure from Sky in 2016.

What's Next for the Presenter?

Beyond her television comeback, Webster revealed that 2026 will be a busy year. She confirmed that production will begin on the second season of her podcast, she will continue her column, and she is stepping into several other projects she described as "genuinely exciting."

Her announcement was met with immediate excitement from her 25,000 followers. One supporter commented: "Lovely to see you back on the TV. Keep up the good work." Another enthusiastically posted: "Yyyeeesss, Isabel back on the box & on terrestrial...Now that's a proper start to a New Year."

The news has also prompted guessing games among fans, with one directly asking if her new home might be ITV's Good Morning Britain. For now, audiences will have to wait for further details as the new year unfolds.
