Hollyoaks McQueen Stars Who Aren't Returning for John Paul's Final Episode

James Sutton is departing Hollyoaks after portraying John Paul McQueen intermittently for two decades. To commemorate this milestone and the character's exit, Channel 4 is airing a special episode that reunites the McQueen family, imagining how John Paul's life might have unfolded differently if deceased characters like Tina, Carmel, and Sylver McQueen were still alive. This one-off instalment features returning stars, including Annie Wallace as Sally St. Claire, John Paul's parent.

Where Are the Missing McQueens Now?

While some family members are back for the reunion, several iconic McQueens will not appear in John Paul's final episode. Here's a look at where they are today:

  • Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper): Claire debuted as Jacqui in 2006, with storylines focusing on crime and her turbulent relationship with Tony Hutchinson. Since leaving, she married former Hollyoaks actor Emmett J Scanlan.
  • Celine McQueen (Sarah George): Sarah played nurse Celine for two drama-filled years before the character was murdered. She now lives in Wellington, New Zealand, taking a break from acting.
  • Porsche McQueen (Twinnie-Lee Moore): Porsche had a brief but memorable stint, with Twinnie-Lee leaving to pursue a music career, achieving success in the US country music scene.
  • Cher McQueen (Bethannie Hare): Introduced in 2020 as Sylver's estranged daughter, Bethannie has since focused on her music career after departing in 2022.
  • Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham): Theo played Hunter, Prince's twin, from 2016 to 2024, when the character was killed off. Bosses noted his return in 2022 was always planned as a short stint.
  • Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe): As Mercedes' son and John Paul's nephew, Bobby was a victim of serial killer Jez Blake. Zak continues working as a builder alongside his acting roles.
  • Breda McQueen (Moya Brady): Moya portrayed Breda from 2018 until her character's death in 2020. She has since appeared in Channel 4's It's A Sin.
  • Marlena 'Nana' McQueen (Diane Langton): Diane played Nana from 2007 to 2025, featuring in over 400 episodes. Hollyoaks paid tribute to her after her passing from kidney disease.

The McQueen family, known for their outrageous behaviour and daring outfits, remains a fan favourite. Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm, with first-look episodes available on Channel 4 from 7am.
