Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, graced the red carpet together for the first time in months this week at a special screening on Australia's Gold Coast. The event celebrated Hemsworth's new Disney+ documentary, A Road to Remember, and turned into a full-scale family reunion.
A Family Affair on the Red Carpet
The 42-year-old actor looked dapper in a brown three-piece suit, posing affectionately with his wife of 14 years. Elsa Pataky, 49, radiated in a green summer maxi dress paired with shimmering silver stilettos, beaming as Chris wrapped his arm around her waist.
It was a true gathering for the Hemsworth clan. Chris's brothers, Liam, 35, and Luke, 45, were present, alongside their mother Leonie, 60, and father Craig, 71. The family theme extended to the next generation, with photos shared to Instagram featuring Chris and Elsa's 11-year-old twin sons, Tristan and Sasha. Also pictured were Luke's wife, Samantha Hemsworth, and their children Holly, 16, Ella, 15, and Harper, 13, as well as Liam's fiancée, Gabriella Brooks. Their daughter, India, 13, was not featured in the photos.
A Personal Project and Public Tribute
Sharing snaps from the intimate event on social media, Chris included a heartfelt tribute to his parents, who feature prominently in the new film. 'Surreal experience spending time with family and friends last night at a special screening,' the actor wrote.
He described the project as 'unlike anything I've been a part of' and expressed immense pride in the final product. 'Very thankful to everyone who poured into it and especially grateful to my parents, Craig and Leonie, who really put themselves out there with such vulnerability and grace,' he added, also thanking the film's director, Tom Barbor-Might.
The Documentary's Poignant Subject
Produced by National Geographic, A Road to Remember chronicles Craig Hemsworth's battle with early-onset Alzheimer's. The documentary, set for release on Disney+ on November 24, promises a deeply personal look into the family's experience with the disease.
The Gold Coast appearance comes after a period where Chris and Elsa have been seen spending considerable time apart. Earlier this month, Elsa attended a fashion campaign launch in Byron Bay without Chris, and last month, she and daughter India embarked on a luxury horse riding safari in Africa. The couple, however, reunited in July in London for the premiere of Chris's other National Geographic series, Limitless: Live Better Now, with their twin sons.
