Emmerdale Fans Predict Who Will Bring Down Villains Celia and Ray
Emmerdale fans 'rumble' who brings down Celia and Ray

Emmerdale fans are convinced they have uncovered the identity of the character who will finally bring down the sinister duo of Celia Daniels and Ray Walters. This speculation intensifies as actress Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, hints at her impending departure from the long-running ITV soap.

A Harrowing Storyline Reaches a Tragic Climax

The central plot has revolved around a disturbing drugs scheme masterminded by Celia, which rapidly escalated to involve the sexual exploitation of teenager April Windsor. In a parallel and equally harrowing narrative, the show has been tackling the issue of modern slavery.

Villager Bear Wolf and newcomer Anya were forced into labour on Celia and Ray's farm, where they were imprisoned and prevented from leaving. The situation reached a heartbreaking conclusion in recent episodes. After sustaining an injury while fleeing, Anya fell seriously ill. Despite being recaptured by Ray and locked away again, her health rapidly deteriorated.

In devastating scenes that aired on Friday, November 21, and are now available on ITVX, Anya tragically died. Her death is a direct consequence of Ray and Celia's refusal to seek medical help for her, a decision that has left viewers reeling and demanding justice.

Fan Theories Point to an Imminent Reckoning

Many believe Anya's death will be the catalyst that sparks the villains' ultimate downfall. A wave of fan theories has emerged on social media, speculating on which character or characters will be responsible for the takedown.

Some viewers are championing a revenge mission led by April Windsor and Dylan Penders, given the immense torment they have endured at the hands of the criminals. Others speculate that powerful village figures like Kim Tate and Moira Dingle could join forces to expose the operation.

Could Ray Turn on His Own Mother?

One of the most compelling theories suggests the downfall could come from within. Fans are questioning whether Ray himself will turn on his mother, Celia. This speculation is fuelled by recent scenes showing Ray growing closer to Laurel Thomas and her daughter, Dotty.

Furthermore, a moment of apparent guilt was spotted when Bear reminded Ray that the deceased Anya had a daughter of her own. This has led to questions about whether Ray's conscience will finally get the better of him, prompting him to bring their entire criminal enterprise crashing down.

Taking to social media, one fan predicted, "Part of me would love to see April and Dylan be the ones to do it given what they've been through, but I'd also love to see Kim and Moira team up and take Celia and Ray down." Another posted, "I don't know if it's true or not I have read somewhere that Ray goes against Celia."

A third viewer mused, "Will it be Ray with April and Dylan? Kim Tate and Moira collab? A fluke farm accident? The current farm inmates Police Swarm?" The demand for justice is clear, with other comments urging characters to "go to the police" and hoping for a police raid on the farm.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
