Coronation Street Fans Fear Sam Blakeman Is Hallucinating After Worrying Scenes

Coronation Street viewers are growing increasingly concerned for teen Sam Blakeman, with many suspecting his recent behaviour may be signs of a mental health crisis rather than genuine threats from fellow teen Will Driscoll.

Sam has been under immense strain after exposing child groomer Megan Walsh, his athletics coach, who had been threatening him for weeks. The ordeal led him to misuse ADHD medication amid exam stress, and his mental state has since deteriorated.

This week, Sam claimed Will threatened him over the phone and fled in fear after spotting him at the precinct. However, Will denied making the call, and fans believe Sam may have imagined it.

Viewers took to social media to share their theories, with one saying: 'I don’t think Will did ring Sam I think it’s all in his head.' Another added: 'Sam is hallucinating.' Some suggested the storyline could be paving the way for a schizophrenia diagnosis, triggered by stress or trauma.

Others pointed to the possibility of side effects from Sam's medication, noting his paranoia, panic attacks, and apparent auditory hallucinations. One fan wrote: 'My thinking is Sam's experiencing bad side effects from that medication he was taking.'

Coronation Street continues weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
