Get ready for some festive flair on the dance floor, as comedian and actor Babatunde Aléshé has been officially announced as a contestant for the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
From the Jungle to the Ballroom
The 39-year-old star, best known for his appearances on Taskmaster and in the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, is the fifth celebrity confirmed for the highly anticipated seasonal show. Aléshé has revealed a secret weapon in his arsenal, confessing to a past in street dance. He shared that he used to perform street locking and break dancing during his college years, and he's hopeful that these 'old moves' will make a triumphant return for the competition.
The Competition Heats Up
For the special episode, Aléshé will be paired with professional dancer Nancy Xu. They will be one of six couples vying for the coveted title of Christmas champion. The competition is set to be fierce, with the line-up also including fellow celebrities Nicholas Bailey, Melanie Blatt, Scarlett Moffatt, and Jodie Ounsley.
