Alison Hammond's Valentine's Date Night with Chris Hemsworth

Alison Hammond, renowned for her uproarious and entertaining interview technique that consistently leaves guests in fits of laughter, has made a triumphant return to her beloved Date Night format. This time, the charismatic This Morning presenter is swapping one Australian heartthrob for another, as she welcomes Chris Hemsworth for a special Valentine's Day edition of the show.

A Lavish Valentine's Day Surprise

The 52-year-old television host will be joined by the 42-year-old Marvel superstar on Friday morning for a hilarious and flirtatious segment. Hemsworth has arranged a champagne afternoon tea complete with butlers, alongside a private screening of his upcoming film, Crime 101, creating an opulent setting for their chat.

Hemsworth's Australian Gentlemanly Gesture

When questioned about the extravagant preparations, Chris Hemsworth revealed his motivation stemmed from Alison's previous Date Night interview with Hugh Jackman back in 2017. "I'm glad you asked," Hemsworth began. "You know as an Australian man, I saw the interaction, or date if you can call it that, that you had with Hugh Jackman and I was pretty disappointed."

He elaborated, "You bought the flowers and the cake and the champagne and everything and that's not how Australian men roll. So this time, I wanted to do it and show you how it's supposed to be done, show him how it's supposed to be done."

Alison's Playful Retort to Hugh Jackman

As a butler poured champagne for the pair, Alison Hammond, a former I'm A Celebrity contestant, responded with characteristic humour. "And that's why you've done all this for me? Thank you so much," she said, before adding a cheeky message to her previous date. "See Hugh, that's how you treat a woman. Goodbye Hugh Jackman!"

To which Hemsworth quipped, "Who Jackman!" highlighting the playful rivalry between the two Australian actors.

The Legendary 2017 Hugh Jackman Interview

Alison Hammond has frequently cited her flirty exchange with Hugh Jackman almost a decade ago as her all-time favourite interview moment. She previously reflected, "My favourite interview is the interview I turned into a date. I think at one point he got a cocktail stick stuck in my tooth. I just love him, Hugh Jackman he's up there."

Memorable Moments from the Original Date Night

The 2017 interview caused hysterics among viewers when Alison unveiled a table laden with chocolates and champagne before the conversation even began. The pair proceeded to take turns feeding each other olives, adding to the romantic comedy atmosphere.

Things took another flirtatious turn when Alison inquired if Jackman would reprise his iconic role as Wolverine. He playfully responded, "That's it. Unless you're my Storm," before gently kissing her hand.

Jackman went on to praise Hammond's interviewing skills, saying, "You are without a doubt, over the years, the best person to interview me. I mean that. I always find it amazing. I'm not retiring by the way so we can have many more of these dates."
