Netflix's surprise hit sitcom Running Point is returning for a second season this week. The sports comedy, which stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, the first female president of a fictional NBA team, will drop all 10 episodes on Thursday, 23rd April.
The first series ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, with Isla facing challenges both on and off the court. The new season picks up with the head coach position vacant, a heartbreaking late-season loss fresh in memory, and Isla's most unstable brother back in the mix. A trailer confirms Isla is more determined than ever to lead the Los Angeles Waves to glory, but must contend with the reappearance of her brother Cam and a dwindling bank balance.
Kate Hudson returns as Isla, joined by Drew Tarver as younger brother Sandy, Scott MacArthur as older brother Ness, and Brenda Song as best friend and chief of staff Ali Lee. Justin Theroux, who appeared in a recurring role in season one, is now a main cast member as eldest brother Cam. New faces include Ray Romano as incoming coach Norm Stinson and Ken Marino as lavatory entrepreneur Al Fleischman.
Guest stars for the new season include Ike Barinholtz, Octavia Spencer, Lisa Rinna, Nicole Richie and Scott Speedman. The series will be available on Netflix from 8am BST on Thursday, 23rd April.
