Molly Rainford Denies Strictly Romance Rumours and Feuds

Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford has dismissed rumours of backstage romances and feuds among contestants and professional dancers. The CBBC presenter, partnered with Carlos Gu on the BBC show, addressed speculation during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Thursday.

When asked about behind-the-scenes drama, Rainford described the cast as a 'tight-knit group' who enjoy Friday night takeaways together. She insisted there were no issues, adding: 'No, no. There actually isn't. I think that will come later on in the competition.'

Host Charlotte Hawkins then pressed Rainford on whether she or others had become involved in a Strictly romance. Rainford began to deflect, but her dance partner Carlos Gu interjected, saying: 'I think it's too early to talk about this.'

The rumours had linked Rainford with pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin, currently partnered with Olympian Ellie Simmonds. Reports suggested the pair appeared close at the National Television Awards earlier this month, following Kuzmin's split from his girlfriend of five years.

Rainford's denial comes as the show, known for its 'Strictly curse', continues to air on BBC One.
