Clarkson's Farm Star Harriet Cowan Defends Her Unapologetic Approach to Jeremy Clarkson

Harriet Cowan, the breakout star from Clarkson's Farm, has taken a playful swipe at her co-star Jeremy Clarkson while defending her straightforward attitude on the popular Prime Video series. The 25-year-old, who temporarily replaced Kaleb Cooper in the show's fourth series, joked about her willingness to challenge anyone who thinks they know better.

"I'll Tell Him So": Harriet's Direct Approach

Speaking to The Times, Harriet reflected on her time filming Clarkson's Farm, stating: 'If a bloke thinks he knows better than me and starts talking s***, I'll tell him so.' She emphasized that her on-screen persona was authentic, adding: 'When I was on Clarkson's Farm telling Jeremy what I thought, that was the real me. It wasn't put on for the cameras.'

Harriet quickly won over viewers with her substantial farming knowledge and her fearless approach to putting the 66-year-old Clarkson in his place. Jeremy himself was reportedly very impressed with Harriet, describing her as 'brilliant' after working alongside her on the documentary series that follows his attempts to run Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds.

Challenging Farming Stereotypes

This isn't the first time Harriet has poked fun at Jeremy or challenged conventional farming images. She previously claimed that not all farmers fit the stereotype of '60-year-old men with beer bellies.' With a background as a nurse, Harriet hopes her prominent role on Clarkson's Farm will help redefine who can be a farmer.

She told BBC News: 'I think when you talk to somebody and ask what they stereotypically think of when someone says farmer they say "60-year-old man with a checked shirt and a beer belly," and a lot of the time that is it, but us women are out here and farmers too.' Harriet added: 'Just because I'm a small, blonde that likes to curl her hair and wear make-up, it doesn't mean I can't be a farmer.'

New Channel 4 Venture: Tiny Farmers

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Harriet has secured a brand new presenting role away from the hit reality show. She will be hosting Channel 4's Tiny Farmers, a digital program that launched on the TV channel's YouTube channel on January 19, 2026.

The official press release describes the show: 'Tiny Farmers sees Harriet and Jessica joined by hen experts Avril and Michael who are sharing how to spot a happy hen and giving insight into an egg's journey from farm to table.' The program features four children challenged to become egg farmers of the future, testing their skills in hen care and cooking.

Harriet will be joined by comedian Jessica Knappett on the show, which asks whether the young contestants will 'thrive or scramble under pressure.'

Production Team Enthusiasm

Stephen Parnell, Digital Commissioning Executive at Channel 4, praised the new program: 'Harriet and Jessica's infectious enthusiasm brings to life, connecting brilliantly with our young contestants as they compete to impress both hens and hosts.' He added: 'Working alongside Interstellar TV and The Happy Egg Co. has been a joy, and I can't wait to share this hilarious - yet heartwarming - show with viewers.'

David Williams, Managing Director at Interstellar TV, commented: 'Who knew that chickens, children and cooking would be the perfect recipe for a show full of warm-hearted competition and fun! Harriet, Jessica and our fantastic four Tiny Farmers of the future were on cracking form delighting not just hundreds of happy hens, but everyone watching too.'

Clarkson's Farm remains available to stream on Prime Video, where Harriet Cowan's memorable appearances continue to entertain audiences with her authentic approach and farming expertise.
