The Prince and Princess of Wales have discreetly taken a holiday at the exclusive French Alpine ski resort of Courchevel, it has been revealed. The royal couple were observed last month at a premium mountainside restaurant, where even a simple ham and cheese toastie carries a price tag of €85 (£74), albeit one described as 'truffle-infused'.
A Polite and Enjoyable Experience
A staff member from the establishment shared, 'They had a very nice time and were very polite.' Fellow diners who recognised the future King and his wife, who appeared immaculate in their ski attire, took photographs from a distance as the pair departed after their costly meal.
One enthusiastic diner recounted, 'I couldn't believe I was having lunch in the same restaurant as Kate and William. They looked adorable in their beanie hats.'
The Glamour of Courchevel
Known as 'the Saint Tropez of the slopes', Courchevel is famed for its Michelin-starred restaurants, designer shopping outlets, and celebrity visitors, including George Clooney and the Beckhams. It remains unclear whether the Waleses' children, Prince George (12), Prince Louis (7), and Princess Charlotte (10), accompanied their parents on the slopes during last month's trip.
William and Kate, along with their eldest children, first visited the French Alps in 2016 and have since embarked on several private holidays to upscale resorts. Early last year, the family was seen skiing with members of the Princess's family and dining at a mountaintop restaurant, described by a source at the time as 'a Middleton knees-up'.
