Prince William's Tribute to Kate: 'Behind Every Average Man, a Better Wife'
Prince William's sweet tribute to wife Kate in Wales

The Prince of Wales, Prince William, made a heartfelt public tribute to his wife, the Princess of Wales, during a solo engagement in North Wales this week, emphasising the crucial role she plays in his life.

A Candid Moment in Colwyn Bay

On Tuesday, 26th November, Prince William travelled to Colwyn Bay in North Wales to spotlight the challenges and futures of young people in regional coastal communities. His visit focused on the Youth Shedz organisation, a initiative that provides a safe space for youths facing issues like school exclusion, bullying, and homelessness.

While speaking with the organisation's founder, Scott Jenkinson, and his wife Sian, the conversation turned to the power of a supportive partner. William, having heard about Scott's past struggles with homelessness and addiction, asked Sian, "Were you there with Scott when he turned his life around?" He commended Scott, saying, "He has done well to turn his life around."

Scott immediately credited his wife, stating, "With my wife behind me. You know that." The Prince, who celebrated his 14th wedding anniversary with Kate this year, nodded in agreement and delivered his charming remark: "This is it. Behind every average man there is an even better wife."

Focus on Family and Foundations

The discussion at Youth Shedz’s headquarters went beyond royal pleasantries, delving into core family values. Prince William spoke about the importance of family life, specifically highlighting the need for families to sit down and eat together without the distraction of screens.

He listened intently as children shared their experiences of overcoming shyness and isolation through the project's forums and social media groups. Offering paternal advice, William told them, "I always say, if you can start working with really good people in your community, then they will connect you and you can work your way up like that... Foundations are really important."

Scott Jenkinson later reflected on the impact of the Prince's visit, noting how William took time to counsel a child struggling with anger, urging him to talk to trusted adults and build strong life foundations.

A Warm Welcome from Welsh Fans

The royal outing began with a characteristically warm reception from the public. Despite the cold weather, a crowd of excited fans gathered to greet the future king as he arrived at Colwyn Bay beach.

In a particularly endearing moment, 65-year-old local Angela Jones was so delighted that she rushed to wrap her arms around Prince William in a hug. The Prince laughed and bent down to embrace her. A thrilled Angela later remarked that she "loves him" and was struck by how tall he is in person, capturing the affectionate mood of the entire engagement.
