West Wilson Denies Cheating Allegations in New Romance with Amanda Batula
West Wilson has firmly denied cheating on his ex-girlfriend Ciara Miller, providing a detailed dating timeline regarding his new relationship with Amanda Batula. The 31-year-old reality star addressed the controversy on his podcast, Show Me Something, on Monday, stating unequivocally that there was no overlap between his past and current romances.
Wilson told co-host Sophie Cunningham, 'There was no overlap. I know there are a thousand different theories right now, but that is one thing that for sure did not happen.' This comes after his relationship with Batula, 34, was revealed in a joint social media statement on March 31, nearly three months after Batula and her husband Kyle Cooke, 43, announced their separation following four years of marriage.
Complicated Friendship Dynamics and Public Fallout
The situation is particularly sensitive because Batula was previously best friends with Miller, 30, Wilson's former girlfriend and fellow Summer House co-star. This connection made the March relationship announcement feel like a shock betrayal to many, including Miller herself.
Wilson declared on his podcast that 'everyone was single' when his connection with Batula became serious. 'We realized things were maybe a little bit serious in February, and that’s when this all started,' he shared. 'There’s not a whole lot more to it than that.'
The Bravo star vowed to confront the drama face-to-face at the upcoming Summer House season 10 reunion. He revealed he has personally reached out to castmates via text, though not everyone has responded yet, which he said is 'to be expected.'
Ciara Miller's Ongoing Hurt and Demand for Answers
According to a source speaking to Us Weekly this week, Miller 'still feels betrayed and hurt' nearly a month after the Wilson-Batula pairing was made public. The insider explained, 'She feels betrayed because of the fact that she was a good friend to Amanda and now has to look back to see that her best friend betrayed her with her ex.'
The source added that Miller 'wants accountability' and at the reunion she seeks answers about 'when it started, how it started, why it started, and where it started. And if they are truly sorry and if their relationship is real. The only way she can move on from it is if she gets answers.'
Miller previously told Glamour magazine about the situation, expressing particular pain about Batula's involvement. 'At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been – what has felt like – in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that's the craziest part.'
She added, 'It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors. To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf***.'
Reunion Showdown and Private Processing
Wilson admitted on his podcast, 'The hardest part with this whole situation is that my actions have hurt people that I care about. But the reunion is coming up, and I can give those apologies face-to-face and also clear up crazy s**t.'
Rumors had spread online that Batula might skip the Andy Cohen-hosted reunion due to backlash over her new relationship. However, a source told TMZ she is not shying away from facing Miller, who allegedly learned of the secret romance through video footage of Wilson and Batula hooking up. The recording, filmed without the couple's knowledge, is said to have dismayed Miller.
In their joint Instagram statement last month, Wilson and Batula wrote, 'It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.'
The statement continued, 'We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.'
They concluded, 'As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.'
Season 10 of Summer House is currently airing on Bravo, with the highly anticipated reunion expected to address these relationship controversies directly.
