BBC News at One presenter Nina Warhurst has addressed viewer concerns after her appearance sparked questions during broadcasts this week. The journalist, a familiar face on BBC since 2010, took to Instagram to explain why she appeared without makeup on one side of her face.
Nina Warhurst Responds to Viewer Queries
Warhurst, who became the lead presenter of BBC News at One in 2025, reassured followers that she was in no pain. She wrote: "Thanks for the concerned msgs about my asymmetrical mush. I'm in no pain or discomfort, and my lovely pharmacist is helping - left eye just needs a few days off makeup."
Viewers had expressed worry on social media, with one saying: "Poor Nina." Another commented: "#bbcnewsatone gosh what's wrong with one of her eyes she should get that checked asap get well soon." A third noted: "Did Nina Warhurst on BBC News at One forget to do make-up/lashes on one eye today?"
Update on Her Recovery
Warhurst continued to share updates, posting a photo of herself in an England football top ahead of a match. She has been a staple on BBC screens since joining the corporation in 2010, serving as a business and consumer correspondent on BBC Breakfast before moving to the News at One.
Reflecting on her new role last year, she said: "I'll be hanging up the high-viz and hairnet for a wee while as I join the BBC's News at One." She expressed gratitude for the opportunities and praised her team, adding that she would still appear on the red sofa occasionally.
