The family turmoil surrounding British swimming champion Adam Peaty has taken a dramatic turn with the arrest of his brother James over alleged threats made during Adam's stag weekend. The 34-year-old was detained at his home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire on Monday before being released on bail.
The situation escalated significantly when Adam, 30, required an armed police escort from a plane at Manchester Airport on Sunday night after receiving threats that someone would be waiting for him upon arrival. According to sources, five uniformed officers flanked the Olympian through immigration and baggage reclaim while authorities monitored CCTV for suspicious activity.

The arrest comes amidst an increasingly public family dispute that has seen Adam's mother Caroline, 59, uninvited from his Christmas wedding to Holly Ramsay, 25. A source close to the situation revealed: "Things escalated over the weekend when someone became increasingly abusive and threatening over text. Adam was trying to enjoy his stag do and was getting freaked out by it all."
