The highly anticipated event will take place at London's Emirates Stadium, a venue with a massive capacity of 44,000 spectators. This will be Boyzone's first performance together since their five-night run at the London Palladium back in 2019, making the occasion particularly special for fans of both groups. The support lineup is said to include other notable 90s acts, with Irish girl group B*Witched reportedly joining the bill according to sources.
From Good Times to New Beginnings
S Club previously returned to the stage for their Good Times Tour, which commenced in the UK in October 2023 before concluding in North America in early 2024. The band's journey has been marked by both celebration and tragedy, having reunited to mark their 25th anniversary in 2023 only to face the sudden loss of singer Paul Cattermole weeks later at age 46 from natural causes related to heart failure.
The group persevered through this difficult period, renaming their tour The Good Times Tour in honor of their anniversary and releasing their first new single in over two decades, "These are the Days," as a tribute to their late bandmate. This emotional backdrop adds profound meaning to their upcoming reunion performance.
Band Dynamics and Future Projects
Recent developments suggest that most original members have committed to this comeback. Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, and Tina Barrett are all understood to be on board, with Bradley McIntosh also reportedly agreeing to participate. Efforts are reportedly underway to persuade former member Hannah Spearitt to join the reunion, though tensions remain from her departure during the previous tour.
Tina Barrett recently confirmed the band's collaborative spirit, telling Perry Presents during the Cabaret Gala Night event at London's Kit Kat Club: "We haven't parted ways, we've actually got some projects that we're working on. I can't confirm anything, but yes, you will be seeing more of us, and hopefully everyone is as excited as we are. We've got new stuff to show you, that's for sure."
