A ScotRail train journey from Glasgow to Edinburgh turned into an impromptu Oasis concert when a group of enthusiastic fans, led by a Noel Gallagher doppelgänger, burst into song, delighting and bewildering fellow passengers.
The tribute act, complete with the iconic Gallagher swagger, belted out classics like 'Don't Look Back in Anger' and 'Wonderwall', turning the carriage into a rowdy sing-along. Videos of the incident quickly went viral, with passengers torn between amusement and frustration.
Passengers React to the Onboard Gig
While some travellers joined in the fun, others were less impressed by the unscheduled performance. One commuter tweeted: "Never thought I’d need earplugs on the 7:30am to Edinburgh."
ScotRail later confirmed they were aware of the incident but stopped short of condemning the musical interruption, stating: "We encourage a pleasant journey for all passengers."
Is This the Real Life? Is This Just Fantasy?
The Noel Gallagher impersonator, later identified as David Ross from Livingston, said he was "just spreading a bit of joy" on his way to a gig in the capital. "If you can’t have a laugh on the train, where can you?" he quipped.
Whether you see it as a hilarious moment or a commuting nightmare, one thing’s for sure—this was one train ride nobody will forget in a hurry.
