Jessie J Brands Ex Channing Tatum a 'Beast' in Savage New Song
Jessie J's pointed message to ex Channing Tatum in new song

British singer Jessie J has delivered a blistering musical message aimed squarely at her ex-boyfriend, Hollywood star Channing Tatum. The release of her new track has been accompanied by a telling social media post, fuelling speculation about their past relationship.

Lyrics Lash Out at Magic Mike Star

In her forthcoming album, Don't Tease Me With A Good Time, set for release on Friday, Jessie J does not hold back. A track titled 'Threw It Away' is reported to directly reference her relationship with Tatum, which lasted from 2018 to 2020. The lyrics are pointed and personal.

She sings: 'I put my heart out on the table, that's when it got uncomfortable. But oh that karma is gonna come one day, cause I gave you my love and you threw it away.' In an even more direct jab, she adds: 'Don't you dare rewrite the story. I'm the beauty, you're the beast.'

According to reports, Jessie made little secret of the song's subject during a recent event, telling the audience, 'This next song I wrote in 2020 with Ryan Tedder, and you can figure out who I was dating.'

A Pointed Instagram Post

Following the reveal of the song's lyrics, the Price Tag hitmaker appeared to double down on her feelings with a cryptic post on Instagram. She shared a quote that read: 'It's better to admit you went through the wrong door than to stay your whole life in the wrong room.'

This social media message seems to reinforce the themes of regret and moving on that are present in her new music. Jessie, now 37, has firmly moved on with her life. She has been in a relationship with basketball player Chanan Colman for four years, and the couple are parents to their two-year-old son, Skye.

New Music Amid Health Battle

Jessie J's return to music comes as she continues her brave battle with breast cancer. The singer underwent a mastectomy in June as part of her treatment. She later informed fans she would require a further operation, though it was recently postponed, a situation she described as 'frustrating'.

Despite these personal challenges, she has remained positive. In an emotional speech at the Music Industry Trust Awards earlier this month, Jessie shared how her cancer diagnosis had changed her perspective on life. She told the audience, 'This year has changed my whole world. My perspective, what battles I'm going to pick, when death comes knocking at your door, and you kind of have to answer and f***ing kick it away, it just changes everything.'

Her new album marks a powerful and personal comeback for the artist, blending raw emotion with her signature vocal talent.
