Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton has declared his party is "on the verge of winning against the SNP" in many constituencies across Scotland. The statement was made during a campaign visit to a cafe in Linlithgow on Saturday, where he outlined detailed proposals aimed at addressing the pressing cost-of-living crisis.

While engaging with voters in Linlithgow, Cole-Hamilton emphasised his party's commitment to reducing household expenses through practical measures. He highlighted a dual approach to lowering energy bills, which includes implementing an emergency insulation programme and accelerating the deployment of climate-friendly heating systems alongside solar panels.

A key pledge involves revising community benefit regulations to ensure local residents receive a larger share of profits from renewable energy projects developed in their areas. "Scotland has so much going for it, but right now it feels like our country simply isn't working," Cole-Hamilton stated.
