Ferris Bueller's Alan Ruck Reprises Cameron Role in New Honda Advert

Alan Ruck, best known for playing Cameron in the 1986 classic 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', has returned to the role for a new television advertisement. The advert, created for LiftMaster, features two children reciting a scene from the film as they plan to take their father's car for a joyride.

In the commercial, Ruck's character uses a smartphone-controlled garage door opener to monitor the children and prevent them from using the vehicle. The advert highlights the product's remote monitoring capabilities.

Ruck, who also stars as Connor Roy in HBO's 'Succession', reunited with the 'Ferris Bueller' cast earlier this year for Josh Gad's web series 'Reunited Apart'. The special brought together Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, and Jennifer Grey, and ended with a tribute to director John Hughes.

This is not the first time the film has been referenced in advertising; in 2017, Stranger Things star Joe Keery recreated scenes from the movie for a Domino's pizza advert.
