Former EastEnders actor Ben Hardy, known for playing Peter Beale, is set to star in a new Agatha Christie film titled Eleven Missing Days. The movie, which also features Game of Thrones star Alfie Allen, will chronicle the real-life disappearance of the famous novelist in 1926.
Star-Studded Cast
Alongside Hardy, the film boasts a stellar ensemble including Vincent Cassel, Felicity Jones, Ryan McParland, Stacy Martin, Nicole Elizabeth Berger, and Oliver Trevena. The project is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin filming this summer in the UK.
Plot Details
The synopsis reveals: "In December 1926, at the height of her fame, Agatha Christie became front-page news when she vanished in bizarre circumstances from her home. In a case of life imitating art, this whodunnit explores the investigation behind her disappearance, strangely resembling an Agatha Christie novel itself, where everyone in her life became a suspect."
Ben Hardy's Career Journey
Hardy, now 35, rose to fame on the BBC soap in 2013 as Peter Beale, a role he played until 2015. His storyline included the infamous 'Who Killed Lucy Beale?' plot, which saw his character struggle after discovering his brother Bobby was the killer. Hardy left the show to pursue Hollywood opportunities, stating in an interview: "I have so much respect for everyone who works on that show, I felt myself getting lazy as an actor. That laziness scared me. I said, 'I have to get out of here.'"
Post-EastEnders Success
Since leaving Walford, Hardy has appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) as Roger Taylor, and Netflix's 6 Underground alongside Ryan Reynolds. His recent credits include Love at First Sight (2023) and the horror film The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025).
The Agatha Christie disappearance remains a mystery even a century later, with famous figures like Arthur Conan Doyle having joined the search. Eleven Missing Days promises to explore this intriguing real-life whodunnit.
