Vogue Williams Reveals Divorce Lawyer Contact After Podcast Mention
Vogue Williams: Divorce Lawyer Contacted After Podcast

Vogue Williams has made a surprising admission about being contacted by her divorce lawyer after mentioning her on a podcast, as speculation continues to swirl about the state of her marriage to former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.

Podcast Confession Sparks Conversation

The Irish television presenter and influencer, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child, revealed the unusual interaction during an appearance on the What's My Age Again? podcast this week. Williams explained that her divorce lawyer reached out via text message after hearing herself referenced during one of Vogue's podcast episodes.

"My divorce lawyer texted me recently because she heard me talking about her on the pod," the 40-year-old confessed to host Katherine Ryan, who jokingly suggested the lawyer might have "seen Spencer papped somewhere" and simply wanted to "check in" on the situation.

Persistent Marriage Rumours

This revelation comes amid a year of persistent whispers about potential troubles in Williams' relationship with Matthews, 37. Last year, reports surfaced claiming the couple were "heading for a breakup" after spending significant time apart due to separate work commitments, forcing Vogue to publicly deny the rumours through a social media statement.

The podcaster, who hosts My Therapist Ghosted Me with comedian Joanne McNally and Vogue & Amber with her sister, has repeatedly addressed her marriage dynamics on air. She has recently discussed Matthews' disruptive snoring, his perceived lack of assistance with household responsibilities, and his frequent, extended absences for running competitions.

Previous Marriage and Current Arrangements

Williams' divorce lawyer, saved in her phone as "Emma Divorce," handled her separation from first husband Brian McFadden, the former Westlife star, in 2017. Reflecting on that experience, Vogue noted: "Getting divorced is easy if everybody is willing to be amicable about it. Well as much as you can be."

She elaborated that the process was "relatively easy enough because we didn't have anything to split, not really," though they experienced some disagreement over their dog, which Vogue ultimately kept.

Regarding her current marriage to Matthews, whom she met while filming Channel 4's The Jump in 2017 and married in June 2018, Williams emphasized their financial equality. "I pay for half of everything," she explained, detailing how this arrangement began on their first date and continues to prevent any power imbalance in their relationship.

Addressing Social Media Criticism

Williams expressed particular frustration with social media comments suggesting she lives off her husband's wealth. "You know what drives me mad? Rotten comments [on social media] - it's not things slagging off my looks that really bother me, it's when people are like, 'Ugh! Living off your husband!' I'm like, if you only f***ing knew," she stated emphatically.

Family Life and Public Support

The couple, who share children Theodore (7), Gigi (5), and Otto (3), recently announced they are expecting their fourth child together, sharing beach photos from their holiday in St Barths. Despite the ongoing speculation about their relationship, Spencer recently paid tribute to his wife as she entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle last November, calling her "absolutely extraordinary" and "my best friend, a phenomenal wife and a perfect mother."

Williams also reflected on her approach to relationships more broadly, noting: "I've been in not-great relationships, and there was always a reason for the breakup that was very, very valid. I'd be super loyal to people, and really protective over people in my family or friends and stuff like that. If I don't feel the same respect back, I don't want to have someone like that in my life."
