Vicky Pattison Shares Unfiltered Body Confidence Message: 'Here Is Some of My Reality'

Vicky Pattison has shared an empowering body confidence post on Instagram, urging fans not to be 'hung up' on the 'perfect' side of social media. The 35-year-old former Geordie Shore star posted a selection of candid, make-up free snaps to show 'tummy rolls and cellulite', saying she is 'proud' of her reality.

In her post, Pattison admitted that after scrolling through her own feed, she realised there were 'probably far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads'. She wrote: 'Social media can often be misleading... here is some of my reality – a reality that I am not only not ashamed of, but f***ing proud of.'

The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2015 winner listed her perceived imperfections: 'I am 35, I have wrinkles, cellulite, dimpled skin, tummy rolls, absolutely NO lips compared to everyone else on here it seems and double chins... I have good angles and bad, I have good days and bad... and none of this makes me any less of a good person or less deserving of self love.'

She encouraged her followers to be kind to themselves and not let Instagram's 'bull****' affect their self-worth. 'You are special, beautiful and deserving of love regardless of what clothes size you wear, whether your kitchen is tidy or whether your skin is perfectly smooth,' she added.

The post was widely praised, with Married At First Sight UK star Adrian Sanderson commenting: 'You look f***ing fantastic mate.' One follower wrote: 'You’ve no idea how badly I needed to see this.'

Earlier this year, Pattison reflected on turning 35, saying her 30s have brought 'self love, meaningful relationships, a healthy respect for myself and a real passion for what life is actually about' – a stark contrast to her 20s, which she described as filled with 'disordered eating, crippling self doubt, bad boyfriends and even worse decisions'.
