A body language expert has claimed that Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump appeared "awkward and wary" of each other during a rare public display of affection at a recent golf tournament. The analysis suggests their joint appearance was largely "performative" for the cameras.

James described the moment as an "awkward-looking body language display for the cameras," noting that Woods adopted what she called a "lightning smile" that radiated "no really authentic signals of happiness or delight."
"His expression appears wary after he finishes his solo posing and prepares to immerse himself in the family stuff," James observed.
The expert detailed how Trump arrived "oven ready" with a beaming smile and her arm held out in what James described as an "announcement gesture" to signal intention to adopt a loving appearance. James noted it took time for the couple's smiles to achieve a mirrored look, with Woods continuing to appear "a little awkward" while Trump seemed to control the posing and choreography.

James observed that Trump attempted to showcase a strong family unit by inviting her daughter into the photograph. "She waves her daughter into shot to create the suggestion of a strong family unit," James explained, adding that Trump then upgraded "the emotional content by forming a possessive ritual with her arms while tilting her head in towards Woods in an act of closeness and trust."
Despite the final photograph likely appearing as a close, loving family photo, James claimed the building of the pose revealed "signals of awkwardness and even some wariness" between the couple.
