Jeremy Strong is already impressing fans with his performance in the upcoming film The Social Reckoning, a companion piece to the Oscar-winning The Social Network. Audiences have been treated to their first glimpse of this unexpected follow-up, which examines the tech behemoth from the same award-winning screenwriter.
What is The Social Reckoning about?
Rather than serving as a direct sequel, The Social Reckoning is being characterised as a 'companion piece' to The Social Network. Aaron Sorkin returns to pen the screenplay, having previously claimed an Academy Award for his contribution to the original film. On this occasion, however, he also assumes the role of director. While primarily renowned for his writing credits — including Moneyball, A Few Good Men and television series The West Wing — he has previously directed Being the Ricardos, The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Molly's Game.
The Social Reckoning's storyline draws from the events surrounding the Wall Street Journal's exposé titled The Facebook Files. The forthcoming film takes inspiration from the real-life account of Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer, who recruits Jeff Horwitz, a Wall Street Journal journalist, to embark on a perilous mission that ultimately exposes the social network's most closely protected secrets.
When is The Social Reckoning release date?
Based on the trailer, it's been verified that audiences can anticipate the film arriving in cinemas later this year. It's scheduled to debut on October 9.
Who features in The Social Reckoning cast?

They'll be supported by numerous familiar names and personalities, though not all their characters have been disclosed yet.
