Celebrity singer Sinitta has shared a touching tribute and rare photographs of her son Zac Wilner as he celebrates his 20th birthday. The 62-year-old star posted several images on social media, including childhood snapshots and recent formal photos with his sister, accompanied by a heartfelt message praising her "brave and curious" eldest child.
Emotional Birthday Tribute from a Proud Mother
In her emotional Instagram post, Sinitta wrote: "Happy Birthday My Beautiful Boy @zac_willner. 20 years old does not seem real. You are the gentle giant, affectionate, kind, smart and funny and so so big now!!! I Love being your Mom, you are everything I wanted and I love you so much."
The singer continued with words of encouragement: "I want you to have everything good that this world has to offer and that you want. Stay Brave, Stay Curious you are More then Enough, you are Everything… still my baby to me until you are 21 though so 'where are you?!' Still applies! kissing monster kisses."
Adoption Journey After Personal Struggles
Sinitta adopted Zac, now 20, and his sister Magdalena Wilner, 19, in 2007 with her then-husband Andy Wilner. The couple made this decision following four miscarriages and three unsuccessful attempts at IVF treatment.
In a 2025 interview with OK! magazine, Sinitta opened up about her difficult experiences, revealing how her children gave her a renewed purpose in life. "Oh, it was hard to breathe. I wanted to curl up in a ball and shut the world out – so perhaps it's only natural those thoughts come back to haunt you, later," she confessed about her miscarriage struggles.
The singer emphasized the transformative impact of adoption: "The day I adopted my kids I had a reason to live. It's not the British way to talk about things. When people asked how I was, I'd say, 'Oh, I'm fine.' You're too scared to say, well, as a matter of fact, I've just lost a child – in case people are horrified. Nowadays, it's different because people are prepared to discuss mental health. They are more understanding that we don't all live perfect lives."
Reflections on Loss and Family
Sinitta also reflected on how her painful experiences ultimately led her to her adopted children. "I do tend to reflect on the sad things that happened in the past. Back then, I just pushed all the painful things to the back of my mind. I think, what would have happened if I had had those children that I lost through miscarriage? I then wouldn’t have had Zac and Magdalena. So, I do think about that because when you go through something like a miscarriage it’s so all-consuming at the time."
Sinitta's Career and Personal Connections
The 80s singer first rose to fame with her 1986 hit single "So Macho," which spent seven weeks in the top 10 charts and reached number two in the UK. She enjoyed several chart successes with Simon Cowell's record label and maintained a long-term romantic involvement with the television personality and record executive.
During her appearance on the all-star version of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here – which was pre-recorded in September – Sinitta revealed that she and Simon Cowell had an "on and off" relationship spanning 40 years.
Sinitta previously claimed things were "never really over" between them, but the dynamic changed when Simon welcomed his first child, a son named Eric with Lauren Silverman. Today, Sinitta serves as godmother to their 12-year-old son, while Simon is godfather to Sinitta's children.
The singer's heartfelt birthday tribute to her son has resonated with fans, offering a glimpse into her personal journey through loss, adoption, and the enduring bonds of family.
