Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson has been pictured enjoying a romantic date night with his new girlfriend, model Talitha Balinska. The couple were seen leaving the Everyman Cinema in Chelsea, London, on Tuesday evening after watching the highly anticipated Avatar 3.
A Cosy Night at the Cinema
The 33-year-old reality TV personality looked smitten as he left the venue with his hand placed gently on the 25-year-old's back. Thompson opted for a relaxed, casual outfit for the evening, wearing a brown fleece jacket layered over a grey T-shirt, paired with black jeans and New Balance trainers.
Balinska, meanwhile, showcased her model style in a chic co-ordinated set of a brown striped jacket and matching trousers. She accessorised the look with gold hoop earrings and grey trainers, carrying an additional jacket of the same colour.
Going Public and Sharing Verdicts
The pair, who were set up by Sam's friend and business partner Reza Amiri-Garroussi, only went public with their relationship earlier this month. Taking to his Instagram Stories after the date, Sam revealed they had enjoyed a classic cinema experience, tucking into red wine and a hot dog during the screening.
He also shared his review of the film, writing: 'Scores are in for Avatar… 8/10! The world-building is just so good. Storyline dragged a tiny bit, but it doesn't matter when you're in Pandora!! I'm biased because I love getting lost in a new world, but I LOVED IT!!' He added praise for the Everyman Cinema, though humorously noted that 'nothing tops a good VUE post-Nando's.'
A New Chapter After a Difficult Split
This new romance marks a fresh start for Thompson, who has spoken openly about needing therapy following his split from long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott at the end of last year. The former couple had been together for around five years.
Sam recently confirmed his new relationship status on his Staying Relevant podcast with best friend Pete. He excitedly declared, 'I've got a girlfriend. I've got a girlfriend!' before recounting the low-key moment he asked Talitha to be his partner. 'We just went for dinner and I was like, "I really like you". And I just went "I'd love to be your boyfriend"... I'm 33, I wouldn’t be dating someone this amount of time if I didn’t think it had legs to last,' he explained.
In a sign of how serious things are becoming, Sam revealed plans to take Talitha on a New Year skiing trip with his sister, Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson, and her fiancé Ryan Libbey. Louise has already appeared to give her approval, sharing a snap in October of Sam and Talitha roasting marshmallows with her and her son.
However, Sam indicated his approach to this relationship will differ from his last, telling Pete he has no plans to make things 'Instagram official' in a traditional sense, quipping: 'I've done that before and I want to do a complete opposite of that this time.' This appears to be a subtle reference to the frequent social media posts he shared with ex Zara, including festive photos in matching pyjamas.
