Rylan Clark has left fans in stitches with a hilarious video alongside Emma Willis, reacting to the news that he was not chosen to host the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC officially announced on Tuesday (May 19) that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe will take over as the new hosts of the beloved dance show, replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
Rylan's Reaction to the Snub
Before the trio was confirmed, Rylan Clark was among the rumoured names to front the series, alongside Zoe Ball. Taking to Instagram shortly after the announcement, Rylan shared a video of himself breaking down in tears from his X Factor days, captioned with a message of congratulations to his 'TV wife' Emma and her co-hosts. He wrote: "Just wanted to say as it was reported I was in 'The Race' for strictly, the biggest congrats to my Emma and equal congrats to Johannes and Josh. You're all going to have the best time."
Rylan added: "This wasn't my time sadly but am extremely grateful to even have been considered. I'm taking the news really well (see next slide) but genuinely looking forward to the new series with you three x."
The Hilarious Video with Emma Willis
Now, Rylan has posted another video that has fans in tears. While on BBC Radio 2 together, Rylan danced along to "Go" by The Chemical Brothers, copying an internet trend where he sings as Emma "runs" out of the studio. He captioned the post: "when your bestie gets the strictly gig," leaving fans laughing and commenting that he should have been chosen.
Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse left laughing emojis, while fans expressed their disappointment that Rylan wasn't given the role. @rj2209 commented: "This is brilliant and the fact that Emma was willing tells me she thinks the same as we all do she’s definitely a bestie! Love it." @sa.rah3339 added: "Omg brilliant wish Rylan was given the job with emma," and @ffionjjones76 wrote: "I’m still gutted it’s not Rylan and Emma."
